this week we had to paint the walls and battens so we can keep to our schedule and complete the house by the end of the year. we first laid the walls and floor out on the concrete exterior wall facing up and prepped all the surfaces for painting. To prep the battens we first put a beveled edge on the outer corners using a plane so the paint would endure. we rested them upon two saw horses ready for painting. The Scandinavian red paint was applied using rollers and did all the cutting with a fine brush. we had to paint the underside of the floor to protect it from debris and harsh conditions of the New Zealand country roads.
