When we were looking for community projects, before agreeing to do the museum street scene we had agreed to build a deck for Waiuku Family Support (charity). This idea got too hard for us, the foundation being quite involved.
But yesterday and today the builder asked us to help out. Connor and Jo went out for the day on Wednesday. Working with Johno (builder) they put in the piles and. Today we all went along to help Johno carry the bearers and joists up the steep hill ready to install before the rain came. Great to see the deck being built and to help out.
